VIDEO: Paparazzi outnumber fans as Steven Gerrard arrives in Los Angeles
Steven Gerrard's arrival in Los Angeles was a far cry from the fanfare David Beckham received when he made the trip across the pond to begin his Major League Soccer career.
While the sight of flashing lights from the paparazzi is nothing new for the former Liverpool captain after years in the tabloid capital of the world, there was something missing: fans.
Various reports indicate that the number of fans waiting to greet Gerrard and his wife, Alex Curran, was a fraction of the crowd that welcomed Beckham and his wife Victoria when they made the move to L.A. in 2007.
Nevertheless, Gerrard should get a proper welcome when he suits up for the Los Angeles Galaxy and makes his MLS debut in July.
