Barcelona are starting to backtrack on their option to buy on-loan forward Marcus Rashford on a permanent basis due to financial constraints. The Catalan club would like Manchester United to approve a smaller fee for the English forward's transfer - or for the player to lower his salary demands.

Other top clubs could take advantage of the previously unforeseen opportunity to sign Rashford this summer, including AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. (Caught Offside)

Gunners' targets: Arsenal are exploring deals for Paris Saint-Germain's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez. The north London club expects signing Kvaratskhelia would be difficult, but the Georgian winger's camp is open to talks. (The Independent)
