It doesn't matter that it's only Queens Park Rangers, as Manchester United's first half performance has delivered the suffocating attack fans haven't had the chance to see since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
With a handful of players making their debut both with the club and at Old Trafford, two of them found the score sheet during the opening 45 minutes.
Ander Herrera followed Angel Di Maria's first tally with a debut goal of his own when his powerful strike eluded Robert Green to give United a 2-0 advantage.
The play, however, was orchestrated by Di Maria, as his run up the left flank and clever pass to Wayne Rooney created enough space for Herrera to unleash the shot with little pressure from the QPR defense.
