Liverpool midfielder Fabio Borini was forced to leave Wednesday's friendly against Roma with a shoulder injury, the team's official website announced.
The 23-year-old signaled to the Liverpool bench after landing awkwardly on the ground following a challenge and was substituted out 11 minutes into the match at Fenway Park in Boston.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers seemed confident the injury isn't serious.
Rodgers: "Borini injury isn't as bad as first feared. Just bruising. He won't train for the next few days."
