Joe Hart pokes fun at Rooney's goalkeeping skills: 'He's a wimp'
Scandal in England's camp ahead of the World Cup as club rivalries create disharmony in the national team dressing room.
Or maybe not.
While that narrative is entirely false, it sure makes for an interesting - albeit ridiculously lengthy - headline, which is why you'll probably see something similar in one of the English tabloids this weekend.
No, Joe Hart's quip that Wayne Rooney is a 'wimp' has nothing to do with any real qualms between the two men.
During an interview for FourFourTwo's new digital publication Football Weekly, the Manchester City keeper discussed Rooney's willingness to assume the goalkeeping duties in training with the Three Lions.
Here's what he had to say:
"Yeah he does, he likes spraying the balls and catching balls but when it actually comes to whacking a ball at him, he's a wimp."
A certain Nike commercial suggests otherwise, Joe.
