Report: Forest close to appointing ex-Wolves boss Pereira
Vitor Pereira could be making a swift return to the Premier League as Sean Dyche's successor at Nottingham Forest.
The nomadic Portuguese coach, who was sacked by Wolverhampton Wanderers last November, is close to reaching an agreement to become the new Forest boss, reports BBC Sport's Sami Mokbel. The East Midlands outfit is set to become the first club in Premier League history to have four permanent head coaches in the same season.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis axed Dyche on Wednesday after his team drew 0-0 with Wolves - despite having 35 shots at the City Ground - a little over three hours earlier. Dyche lasted less than four months and his predecessor, Ange Postecoglou, spent 39 days at the helm. Nuno Espirito Santo impressively secured a place in the Europa League last season, but he was sacked just three matches into the 2025-26 campaign due to a fallout with Marinakis over the club's transfer activity.
Pereira worked under Marinakis when he was in charge of Olympiacos in 2015.
Fellow relegation candidates Tottenham Hotspur fired Thomas Frank on Wednesday morning and are yet to hire his replacement.

Since the turn of the year, Nottingham Forest have beaten West Ham United and Brentford and also earned a respectable draw against Arsenal. However, a wretched festive spell of four straight defeats and their recent run of one point from matches against Crystal Palace, Leeds United, and Wolves have put Forest at serious risk of dropping into the Championship.
Forest don't play this weekend because they're already eliminated from the FA Cup. Forest return to action for the opening leg of their Europa League knockout-round playoff with Fenerbahce on Feb. 19. The team then turns its attention back to Premier League survival with a visit from Liverpool on Feb. 22.
