Report: Mourinho receives Manchester United backing
A day after guiding Manchester United to a defeat at the hands of Tottenham, embattled Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly received a vote of confidence from the club's brass.
Under Mourinho, United have lost two of their first three league matches for the first time since 1992-93, and even with the buzzards circling the club's famed ground, BBC Sport's Simon Stone insists that the divisive tactician still has the team's support.
United were outclassed in the second half courtesy of some poor defensive play and a Lucas Moura brace, prompting Mourinho's post-match press conference meltdown where the Portuguese manager demanded respect from the media.

Last week, Mourinho said he and club executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward still had an amicable relationship, dispelling reports of a falling out.
Winner of three Premier League titles with Chelsea, Mourinho led United to Europa League and League Cup success in his first season in charge before finishing runners-up to rivals Manchester City last season.
