Raheem Sterling was allegedly the target of racial and physical abuse as he arrived at Manchester City's academy training base on Saturday morning.

James Ducker of the Telegraph reports that the 23-year-old was believed to have been kicked and called "n-----" by an unidentified man.

Ducker adds that Sterling had driven to the entrance for pre-match training ahead of City's latest match against Tottenham, and that is there where it is believed he was confronted by a man who was "hurling a barrage of abuse" his way.

Sterling reportedly got out of the car to ask what was wrong, at which point the man is said to have kicked him in the leg. According to Ducker, it is not clear if the club will file an incident report with the Greater Manchester Police, but it is believed the altercation was caught on CCTV.

Sterling went on to score twice in City's 4-1 win over Spurs, and did not appear to have suffered any injuries after the alleged altercation.
