David Luiz was nowhere to be found in Chelsea's last Premier League match against Manchester United, but the Brazilian centre-back should be back in the squad for an upcoming tilt with West Bromwich Albion, confirmed Blues boss Antonio Conte.

Luiz was replaced in the Chelsea backline by Andreas Christensen, prompting reports of a potential rift between the Brazilian defender and the Italian tactician, but Conte told reporters Friday that the 30-year-old will be back for Saturday's clash at The Hawthorns.

"David Luiz is in the squad, yes," Conte said, as quoted by The Guardian's Paul MacInnes. "(His exclusion) was a technical decision. When it's a technical decision every player has to react well and accept my decision.

"It's normal, this."

When asked about the nature of his present relationship with Luiz, Conte did not elaborate, offering: "I like to speak about the team and the next game that we have to pay attention to."

He added: "This is the most important thing, not speaking about a single player. I repeat: I don't like to speak about a single player."
