Poll: Which manager will leave his post first?

The second international break of the club season is one match away, and that could represent a convenient juncture to change a manager. Francesco Guidolin was given the boot from Swansea City just before October's World Cup qualifiers last season, while Dick Advocaat and Brendan Rodgers left roles at Sunderland and Liverpool respectively during the same gap of the 2015-16 term.
Now there appears to be a few bosses on the brink of being fired or resigning in the Premier League over the sixth weekend.
Here are the candidates to leave their posts soon, with notes on their struggles:
Manager | Notes |
---|---|
Rafa Benitez | Three wins in a row but a fractious relationship with owner Mike Ashley |
Slaven Bilic | In the relegation zone and with no discernible playing style |
Roy Hodgson | Two league defeats to begin tenure after failed Frank de Boer experiment |
Chris Hughton | Overly defensive outlook yielding little hope of Premier League survival |
Ronald Koeman | A huge summer outlay appears unlikely to earn a top-six finish |
Mauricio Pellegrino | Goals are an issue; the club is well run but not incredibly competitive |
