Blackburn Rovers will have a new head coach at the helm for Friday's match against Burton Albion after Tony Mowbray was appointed as manager.
Mowbray's arrival comes a day after Owen Coyle left the club by mutual consent after less than a year in charge.
The Championship side revealed that Mowbray - who began his coaching career with Scottish outfit Hibernian before moving on to West Bromwich Albion, Celtic, Middlesbrough, and Coventry City - has put pen to paper on an 18-month contract.
The 53-year-old will take charge of his first training session Wednesday afternoon ahead of Friday's away fixture.
Blackburn sits second last in the Championship standings after accumulating just 29 points through 31 games.
