Tiago Ilori has ended his Liverpool stay of almost three-and-a-half years by joining Reading for what a source told ESPN FC is a £3.75-million fee.
The centre-back, who has represented Portugal at various youth levels, inked a contract with the Royals that will run until 2020.
Ilori, 23, made just three senior appearances for the Reds, but will link up with the legendary Jaap Stam - who marshalled the defences of PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, Lazio, and others in a trophy-laden career - at the Madejski Stadium.
Reading is currently performing above expectations in fourth spot of the Championship, albeit with a backline that has conceded 33 goals in 25 outings - the same amount as 15th-placed Brentford.
