Tottenham Hotspur's deputy goalkeeper Michel Vorm has signed a new contract in north London that will run until the summer of 2018.
The 33-year-old Dutchman donned the gloves from the first match of the season when Hugo Lloris was forced to withdraw at Everton with a hamstring injury, and remained between the sticks for the next two matches while the first-choice Frenchman recovered.
In over 135 minutes of play, ex-Swansea City shot-stopper Vorm conceded just one goal in a 1-1 home draw with Liverpool.
Vorm will be expected to take a spot on the substitutes' bench when Spurs travel to Southampton on Dec. 28.
