Ranieri refuses to share birthday cake with Leicester players after win
It's all Yohan Cabaye's fault that Leicester City players were left hungry after beating Crystal Palace.
With five minutes left to grant manager Claudio Ranieri's birthday wish of producing a clean sheet, the Crystal Palace midfielder scored an otherwise meaningless goal to cut the Foxes' lead to 3-1 before the defending champions secured three points.
Regardless of the win, Leicester players let the gaffer down.
"I said I would share my birthday cake in the dressing room if I got a clean sheet," Ranieri joked during a post-game interview with the BBC. "They clearly don’t want a piece."
It was around this time last season that Ranieri, who turned 65 two days ago, rewarded his players with pizza after producing the first clean sheet of the season before going on to stun the football world and win the league for the first time.
