Cech honoured with pair of Guinness records
Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech may fancy making some more space in an already crowded trophy case after he was awarded two Guinness Book of World Records.
Cech, who joined Arsenal last summer after a decorated career with London rival Chelsea, has been recognised for two honours paying tribute to the Czech international's longevity.
The 2017 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records will acknowledge Cech, 34, for the most clean sheets in Premier League history (181) and the most Golden Glove awards (4).
Cech took to Twitter to share an image of the two honours. It's okay, Petr, you're allowed to smile.
The shot-stopper with a quartet of Premier League winner's medals will have company this year, as Everton midfielder Gareth Barry has also received a nod from the Guinness people for his durability.
Barry, who this year joined Frank Lampard (609) and Ryan Giggs (632) as one of three players to make 600 Premier League appearances, has been honoured for making more starts (580) than any player in England's top tier.
