Paul Pogba is just a few tests and a treadmill run away from becoming the world's all-time most expensive footballer.

In a typical unsubtle move by the incoming Manchester United midfielder, Pogba turned up for the medical in a flash Chevrolet Camaro after flying in from Nice earlier on Monday.

United is expected to pay €105 million plus add-ons to acquire the 23-year-old from Juventus, four summers since he left Old Trafford for Turin in a measly compensation package worth £1.5 million.

Given the enormity of the deal, his arrival at the Red Devils' Carrington training complex has sparked huge interest and swathes of paparazzi hounding the vehicle laid on by the club.

Pogba's mother Yeo Moriba was also present within the convoy of vehicles.

United beat Leicester City 2-1 in the Community Shield on Sunday, a match which featured fellow squad newcomers Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the match-winner Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Jose Mourinho era begins in the Premier League with a trip to Bournemouth on Sunday.
