NASCAR driver, basketball star, baseball icon, the head coach of a youth soccer team, a men's doubles Olympic skater: Hollywood funnyman Will Ferrell has lived the life of many athletes on the silver screen.

Now the part-owner of future Major League Soccer franchise Los Angeles FC, Ferrell was on scene as Premier League champion Leicester City conducted a training session with kids in L.A. on Friday. Ferrell admitted he's intrigued by the story of Leicester star Jamie Vardy.

"Just a working bloke, division-four player, yes," Ferrell told CNN when asked if he could play the former Fleetwood Town striker turned England international. "I think I could, I think I'd have to play him in his later years ... his later, fatter years. I'm happy to play Jamie. I don't think I could play him in his football-playing days."

Though he doesn't hold much hope for emulating the current version of Vardy, Ferrell does hope his club can copy the Foxes' success.

"It's fantastic, and we are so fortunate that they're here training some of the academy kids that we have," Ferrell told CNN. "Not only is it such a great story for sport but something that hopefully LAFC can emulate. It would be great to kind of start right away with a winning team, but we'll see."
