Report: Batshuayi completes medical ahead of Chelsea move
Chelsea appears to be on the verge of hijacking Michy Batshuayi away from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
Just days after Marseille reportedly accepted an offer from Palace, the 22-year-old forward is expected to join Chelsea in a deal worth up to £33 million and become manager Antonio Conte's first signing at Stamford Bridge, according to Sky Sports.
Batshuayi, who is currently on duty at Euro 2016, briefly left Belgium's training camp in Bordeaux on Wednesday to undergo a medical, according to Sky sources. He's now set to put pen to paper on a five-year contract, with official confirmation set to arrive later this week.
Along with Palace, Batshuayi has also been linked with a transfer to West Ham, but the initial report says he is willing to reject both teams in favour of a move to Chelsea.
Batshuayi, who scored just minutes after coming on as a substitute during Belgium's 4-0 win against Hungary on Sunday, found the back of the net 17 times in 36 games with Marseille last season.
