Chelsea's Nathan returns to Vitesse on season-long loan
Chelsea's controversial use of the loan system continues after the Premier League club announced Nathan will be returning to Vitesse Arnhem on another season-long stay.
The Blues were criticised for "warehousing" players by Professional Footballers' Association chief Gordon Taylor in September after they sent 33 players on loan to various European clubs, but that doesn't appear to have put the Stamford Bridge outfit off this campaign.
Brazilian midfielder Nathan joined Chelsea from Atletico Paranaense last season but was promptly shipped out for an Eredivisie term with Vitesse. Now 20, he will follow the same path for 2016-17.
Under new manager Antonio Conte, who joins after relinquishing control of Italy after its Euro 2016 adventure, it's hoped more young players will be offered a chance with the first team after its under-18 side won the FA Youth Cup in three successive seasons.
