Report: Bournemouth preparing £6M bid for Ryan Mason
Bournemouth is apparently exploring the possibility of bringing Ryan Mason to Dean Court next season.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is a late bloomer, making his Spurs debut aged 23, but earned a five-and-a-half year contract in January 2015 after impressing under Mauricio Pochettino.
The breakout campaign of Dele Alli, superb form of Mousa Dembele, and injuries have curtailed his opportunities in the first team, though. As a result, Bournemouth is preparing to pounce and take advantage of his potential discontent at White Hart Lane with a £6-million offer, reports the London Evening Standard's Tom Collomosse.
Snags in bringing Mason to the south coast could lie in the fact he's a boyhood fan of his employer, and midfield is believed to be an area Pochettino is looking to strengthen in the summer - not necessarily where he wants to lose players.
Mason could prove as a potential makeweight in another deal, however, with reports suggesting Cherries' forward Callum Wilson has admirers at Tottenham.
Spurs' 2-2 draw at Chelsea on Monday means the title is out of their grasp, and they begin their secondary aim of finishing above arch-rival Arsenal on Sunday when Southampton visits.
