The Calgary Stampeders made nine cuts Saturday. Wide receiver Cory Mitchell - brother of starting quarterback Bo Levi - was among those released.
In May, the brothers stood together surrounded by an array of reporters, excited to be reunited in football once again.
Unfortunately, they will not get the opportunity to play together professionally.
The Stamps also cut defensive backs Royce Adams and Lin-J Shell, defensive lineman Demonte' Bolden, and defensive tackle Eric Taylor.
Quarterback Dominique Davis, wide receivers Dan Buckner and Nathan Slaughter, as well as running back Keith Toston were also let go.
