Quarterback Zach Collaros has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers through the 2025 season.

The CFL's 2021 Most Outstanding Player was set to become a free agent next year.

Collaros has thrown for a career-high 4,115 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions through 19 weeks this season. His 7,521 passing yards with Winnipeg ranks 11th in franchise history.

The three-time Grey Cup winner has led the Bombers to a 31-4 record as a starter since being traded to the club in 2019 by the Toronto Argonauts. He led Winnipeg to back-to-back Grey Cup titles in 2019 and 2021. The Steubenville, Ohio, native was named MVP in last year's championship game.

The Cincinnati product led the CFL in 2021 with 20 passing touchdowns and ranked second in the league with 3,185 passing yards.

Collaros signed with the Argos in 2012. He spent time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders, as well, before eventually landing in Winnipeg.

The Bombers (14-3) currently sit atop the West Division and locked up home-field advantage leading up to the division final.
