Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray won't play Friday versus the Montreal Alouettes due to a shoulder injury, head coach Marc Trestman confirmed to David Naylor of TSN.
It was reported last week that Ray would miss four-to-six weeks because of the ailment, but then the pivot participated in the team's walkthrough and there was some hope he could suit up against Montreal.
Ray suffered the injury in Thursday's loss to the Calgary Stampeders and Cody Fajardo took over behind center.
Trestman declined to name a starter for Friday's contest.
