Alouettes release DB Ryan Phillips

The Montreal Alouettes released defensive back Ryan Phillips on Sunday, the team announced.
Phillips' stay in Montreal was brief, playing in just two games this season after coming over from the BC Lions. The veteran spent 12 seasons with the Lions, totaling 47 interceptions.
Phillips also captured two Grey Cups with the Lions and was named an All-Star five times.
