Bo Levi Mitchell named CFL's Most Outstanding Player

Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell was named Most Outstanding Player at the 2016 CFL Awards, beating out Ottawa RedBlacks receiver Ernest Jackson.
Mitchell, the runner-up in 2015, led the Stampeders back to the Grey Cup after winning it in 2014, this time on a CFL-best 15-2-1 record.
The signal-caller finished second in the CFL with 5,385 yards and first with 32 touchdown passes, throwing just eight interceptions.
Mitchell's victory made it a clean sweep in the awards for the West Division, as teammates DaVaris Daniels (Most Outstanding Rookie), Derek Dennis (Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman), Jerome Messam (Most Outstanding Canadian), and head coach Dave Dickenson (Coach of the Year) were winners as well. Also winning in the West were the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' Justin Medlock (Most Outstanding Special Teams Player) and the BC Lions' Solomon Elimimian (Most Outstanding Defensive Player).
