Muhammad Ali's robe from 'Phantom Punch' fight up for auction
The terry cloth robe worn by Muhammad Ali before his second bout against Sonny Liston is hitting the auction block with an opening bid of $75,000.
Ali won the 1965 fight, held in Lewiston, Maine, by first-round knockout, hitting Liston with what became known as the "Phantom Punch."
The robe has "Muhammad Ali" embroidered in red on the back, which Goldin Auctions - the company auctioning it off - says is the first garment worn by Ali that features his Muslim name. The legendary boxer changed his name from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali in 1964 after converting to Islam.

The robe comes with a notarized letter of provenance from John Pradella, who received the garment from Ali's former trainer, Angelo Dundee, and a letter of authenticity from boxing expert Craig Hamilton. Bidding opens April 9.
