Struggling Roma striker Edin Dzeko contrived to miss a wide-open net in the first half of Sunday's match against Palermo, only to redeem himself moments later with an infinitely harder finish.
Despite having the entire goal at his mercy in the 28th minute, Dzeko managed to send the ball past the far post. The Roma fans at the Stadio Olimpico could barely believe what they had seen:
But they were soon chanting his name. The 29-year-old Bosnian corrected his mistake minutes after the blunder, taking down a pass from compatriot Miralem Pjanic and rifling a shot between the legs of goalkeeper Fabrizio Alastra:
It is Dzeko's fifth goal in 21 Serie A appearances.
