AC Milan's Balotelli poised to return from groin injury
Milan- AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is set to return from a four-month injury lay-off in Wednesday's Coppa Italia quarter-final against Carpi, according to coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
"Balotelli is available and should be in the squad tomorrow (Wednesday)," said Mihajlovic during Tuesday's press conference.
Balotelli, on loan from Premier League side Liverpool, has not played for Milan since September 27 because of a groin injury and underwent surgery in November. He has appeared in just four games this season, scoring once.
Mihajlovic added that French winger Jeremy Menez was also nearing a comeback, having yet to feature in Serie A this season due to a back injury.
"I hope that Jeremy will return soon. He could be back playing by the end of January," said Mihajlovic.
