Report: Inter Milan won't sell Mauro Icardi to Arsenal in January
Arsenal target Mauro Icardi isn't set to move to the Premier League, with Inter Milan desperate to keep hold of its prized asset for a Serie A title push, according to Peter O'Rourke of ESPN FC.
The north London club was rumoured to be ready to raid Internazionale for the Argentinian striker to remedy its perpetually full treatment room and reliance on its only true out-and-out centre-forward, Olivier Giroud.
However, the Gunners were reportedly probing the market in January to strengthen other areas.
Icardi, 22, has been widely dubbed as one of the most promising players in world football, tallying an impressive 27 goals in all competitions last season.
The former Sampdoria youngster only played 10 minutes for his country 25 months ago, and is looking to force his way back into Argentina's stacked attacking ranks to help in its ailing World Cup qualification campaign.
