Roma confirms permanent moves for Mohamed Salah and Edin Dzeko

An AS Roma financial statement published Thursday has substantiated oft-rumoured permanent moves for summer loan signings Mohamed Salah and Edin Dzeko.

"These players were first signed on a temporary basis, which has been transformed into definitive transfers after planned contractual conditions were met," read the Roma statement.

Dezko, 29, currently sidelined with a knee issue, joined the capital club on loan from Manchester City, where he scored 53 goals in all competitions since joining the Premier League outfit from Wolfsburg prior to the 2010-11 season.

With the January signing of Wilfried Bony from Swansea City and the world-beating form of star striker Sergio Aguero, the towering Bosnian and colleague Stefan Jovetic had become surplus to requirements at the Etihad.

Dezko has one goal for Rudi Garcia's side prior to his knee injury.

Salah, 23, moved to Roma on a loan from parent club Chelsea after spending last season split between the London club and a second-half loan move with Fiorentina.

The Egyptian international has accompanied a lengthy list of Jose Mourinho castaways who found brilliant form elsewhere, joining the likes of Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg then Manchester City) and Juan Cuadrado (Juventus).

A pacey winger rife with passing and dribbling talents, Salah has been a vital component of Garcia's squad this season, scoring three goals in six Serie A appearances for a side that currently sit sixth, one point behind Lazio and Sassuolo.
