Inter Milan's Miranda will miss Milan derby after straining right MCL

Inter Milan is just one of the many clubs feeling the effects of an injury-riddled international break.
During Tuesday's friendly between the United States men's national team and Brazil at Gillette Stadium, Miranda suffered a knee injury that forced him to exit the pitch only 23 minutes into the fixture.
An update was provided by Inter on Thursday regarding the centre-back's condition, as the club announced he'll be unavailable for Sunday's Derby Milano at the San Siro.
Miranda, who joined Inter from Atletico Madrid in July, has appeared in both of his new club's Serie A fixtures this season and has already made his mark, tallying an assist in its 1-0 win versus Atalanta and refusing to allow opposing forwards an inch of space in the air.
