It's official: Carlos Tevez is going home.

On Friday, Boca Juniors announced that Tevez - who hails from Fort Apache, a Buenos Aires slum rife with drugs and crime - will be re-joining his boyhood club with whom he won the 2003 Copa Libertadores.

Boca confirmed Thursday they had reached a consensus with Juventus for the 31-year-old forward, who will cost the Argentinian club €5 million as well as juvenile player Guido Vadala on a two-year deal and the option to buy other players in the future.

Daniel Angelici, president of Boca, told ESPN Argentina that Tevez "will sign the contract" when the Copa America, in which the player is participating, ends next week, according to the Guardian.

Furthermore, Boca have already asked the Asociacion del Futbol Argentino (AFA) to make an exception and allow Tevez to wear his defining No. 10, as the AFA doesn't permit number changes while a season is ongoing.

Tevez, who registered 20 goals and seven assists through 32 Serie A appearances last season, has repeatedly expressed his desire to end his career at La Bombonera. Interestingly, it was exactly two years ago to the day that he moved to Juventus from Manchester City, joining the Old Lady in a £12-million transfer.

Welcome back to La Bombonera, Carlitos.
