Kurt Busch: Wins Coca-Cola 600 Pole
Busch won the pole for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He turned in a fast lap of 181.269 miles per hour.
Analysis:
Busch pulled out a fantastic lap close to the end of the pole-qualifying period. He would edge Jimmie Johnson by .009 seconds to knock the No. 48 Chevrolet from atop the scoring pylon. It was Busch's first pole position of the season, his first career pole at the Charlotte oval and the 28th of his Cup Series career. The Chip Ganassi Racing veteran will challenge for a top-five finish in the Coca-Cole 600 later in the evening.
