Buffon becomes 2nd Juventus player to make 600 appearances

Gianluigi Buffon continues to rack up the milestones.
The iconic shot-stopper became just the second player in Juventus history to reach the 600-appearance plateau, hitting the mark when he took the pitch Friday for the Supercoppa Italiana against AC Milan.

Alone in second place on the club's all-time list of cap leaders, the 38-year-old still has some way to go if he hopes to catch legendary attacker Alessandro Del Piero; the latter left the Turin-based side after 705 appearances.

Buffon, speaking Thursday ahead of the match against the Rossoneri, hailed the accomplishment, but was quick to say that he hoped it would not be his last.
