Mauro Icardi's day is going from bad to worse.
The Inter Milan captain was the subject of searing criticism from his own fans on Sunday, as the club's ultras demanded he be stripped of his captaincy over remarks made in his recently released autobiography.
The supporters in the Curva Nord made their anger known with a scornful banner ahead of Sunday's visit of Cagliari, calling the 23-year-old a "vile piece of shit."

Icardi had the chance to silence his detractors when he stepped up to the penalty spot in the opening half, but instead was mocked with applause from fans who were delighted to see him slide the limp effort wide.
When it rains, it pours.
