Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is considering getting his career back on track via a loan spell with Torino, according to the Guardian's Jamie Jackson.

The first-choice England shot-stopper has been castoff by new City boss Pep Guardiola, with Willy Caballero currently preferred but expected to be replaced between the sticks by new signing Claudio Bravo after the international break. That would leave Hart, 29, as third-choice, which would inevitably have a detrimental affect on his national team claims.

In Turin, Hart should find his route into the starting XI relatively seamless for a side that appears set for mid-table mediocrity. He assumes a position the Granata are seeking to strengthen, with duties currently lying with the oft-underwhelming Daniele Padelli.

"The goalkeeper is an idea we wanted to follow," said club sporting director Gianluca Petrachi. "If it's Hart, then good, otherwise we will certainly be doing something on the market for that role."

There could apparently still be an exit for Samir Nasri, too, despite Guardiola stating that it was up to the midfielder whether he remained in Eastlands beyond the transfer deadline of Aug. 31.

The Frenchman turned up to pre-season training overweight, but had impressed the Spanish gaffer with his endeavours since. Despite making his season debut as a substitute in Sunday's 3-1 home defeat of West Ham United, Nasri may be flying out to Turkey on Tuesday to complete a transfer to Besiktas.

"Yes, there could still be movement," Nasri admitted. "It depends on a lot of things in fact. There's been a lot of speculation. Things that are true; things that are false too because they've never shown me the door or anything like that.

"But I said: 'Everything depends on what's up there (in your head) and your desire.' So we'll see. We're going to sit down, discuss it and see what's to be done."

City returns after the international break to take on hated rival Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sept. 10.
