Juventus traveled to Australia without many of its star attractions, including in-demand midfielder Paul Pogba, with the reigning Serie A champion deciding to rest those who participated in Euro 2016.

Pogba - who's the subject of interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid - is among 13 players who stayed home after making deep runs in France.

Juventus is expected to field a relatively inexperienced lineup for its International Champions Cup (ICC) exhibitions against Melbourne Victory on July 23 and Tottenham on July 26. The Bianconeri will depend on headliner Paulo Dybala and summer signings Medhi Benatia and Miralem Pjanic to entertain the crowds in Melbourne.

Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Simone Zaza, Andrea Barzagli, and Stefano Sturaro were allowed to skip the friendlies as well. They represented the Azzurri as they reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, only to lose to Germany on penalty kicks.

German international Sami Khedira, Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic, Swiss full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, and French veteran Patrice Evra were also held back.

Claudio Marchisio is still recovering from a knee injury, while Dani Alves - fresh off a free transfer from Barcelona - didn't travel.

Juventus' squad for the International Champions Cup: Alex Sandro, Asamoah, Audero, Benatia, Blanco, Cerri, Coccolo, Del Favero, Dybala, Hernanes, Kastanos, Lemina, Lirola, Loria, Macek, Marrone, Neto, Padovan, Parodi, Pereyra, Pjanic, Rosseti, Rugani, Severin, Vitale
