Paloschi joins Atalanta, ends Premier League sojourn with Swansea
Italian striker Alberto Paloschi brought his Premier League experience to a premature close Friday, sealing a move back to Serie A with Atalanta.
The deal is reportedly worth £5 million, meaning Swansea would have taken a loss on a player it only signed in January.
Paloschi, 26, joined the Swans following the appointment of countryman Francesco Guidolin. The two worked together at Parma between 2008 and 2010, but the AC Milan product failed to make any meaningful impact, even as Swansea recovered to avoid relegation last season. He scored just two goals in 10 Premier League appearances.
Paloschi will now get the chance to play for his hometown club. Born near Bergamo, Paloschi, he then joined the Milan youth system and made his debut as an 18-year-old.
He has also played for Genoa and Chievo, where he enjoyed his greatest spell, scoring 42 goals in 144 Serie A appearances.
