John Scott may have to settle for a minor-league skills competition.
The Arizona Coyotes tough guy and the NHL's leading vote getter for the 2016 All-Star Game - for a time, at least - has reportedly been placed on waivers, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA.
Despite being ahead of the field in the popular vote, his body of work is anything but star quality. In nine games, he's recorded one assist, four shots on goal, and 23 penalty minutes.
If unclaimed, he'll likely be assigned to the AHL's Springfield Falcons.
