Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn sustained a left ankle injury late in the third period in his team's 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

Schenn was hit by Michael Chaput behind the Flyers' net and was unable to put any pressure on his leg when he skated off. Brayden Schenn, Luke's brother, came to his defense and fought Chaput with 90 seconds to go in the contest.

An update on the extent of Luke's injury will come Sunday, according to general manager Ron Hextall.

Schenn has two goals and three assists while averaging slightly less than 18 minutes of ice time per night.
