Sabres' Kane dealing with minor injury, unrelated to MCL

Buffalo Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma told reporters that Evander Kane is day to day with a lower-body injury after the forward was absent from team practice Tuesday.

Joe Yerdon of NHL.com reports Kane is still probable for Wednesday's game against the Nashville Predators.

The 24-year-old missed almost a month of action after suffering an MCL injury in a game against the New Jersey Devils in October, but Yerdon reports that the new issue is unrelated.

Kane has been held pointless in three games since returning to the lineup.

Bylsma also said forward Zemgus Girgensons would be re-evaluated Wednesday. The 21-year-old has missed his team's last four games due to an upper-body injury.
