The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Marko Dano and assigned forward Bryan Bickell to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League, the team announced.

Bickell has had a rough start to the 2015-16 season, going pointless in seven games with a minus-3 rating. He was held out of Friday's contest against the Minnesota Wild and saw his ice time drop to just 8:15 Thursday versus the Winnipeg Jets.

His cap hit will be reduced from $4 million to $3.05 million in the minors, according to General Fanager.

Dano, meanwhile, gets his first shot with the Blackhawks this season after being acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets in the Brandon Saad trade. He has racked up one goal and six assists in nine games for the IceHogs.

Chicago is in action Monday against the Los Angeles Kings, who are looking for their eighth straight win.
