The Washington Capitals played a little game of tic-tac-toe to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday.
Alex Ovechkin snagged the puck off a friendly bounce to send the Capitals in on a 3-on-1. Nicklas Backstrom then made a perfect one-touch pass to T.J. Oshie who absolutely ripped the one-timer top shelf for the goal.
Matt Calvert added a late tally for the Blue Jackets, but it wasn't enough as Oshie's fourth goal of the season proved to be the difference in a 2-1 victory for the Capitals.
Washington improves its record to 7-2-0, while Columbus falls to 2-9-0.
