It seems the Dallas Stars and goaltender Jhonas Enroth are both intrigued by NHL free agency.

After undergoing contract discussions, both the team and Enroth will explore other options available to them, general manager Jim Nill suggested Friday.

"I’ve talked to Enroth and told him we are going to look at the market,” Nill told Mark Stepneski of Inside Edge. “He wanted to look at the market. We are going to keep in touch.”

Enroth was acquired by the Stars from the Buffalo Sabres prior to the trade deadline and went 5-5-0 in 13 games with the club.

Meanwhile, Nill also added that the team has made a contract offer to pending unrestricted free agent Patrick Eaves.

"We need to hear from their camp. We’d like to have him back,” Nill said. “We made him a contract offer and if he doesn’t accept that he’ll be looking at free agency. We’d like to bring him back, so we’ll see where that goes."

Eaves had 14 goals and 27 points in 47 games this season.
