Corey Crawford reclaims Blackhawks' starting gig in series clincher vs. Predators

The Crow flies again in Chicago.

Called in to relieve Scott Darling less than 12 minutes into Saturday's Game 6 against the Nashville Predators, Corey Crawford stopped all 13 shots he faced and backstopped the Blackhawks to a 4-3 series-clinching victory.

He's expected to be back in the crease to start round two as a result, even if head coach Joel Quenneville was playing coy after the game.

"Well, we'll let you know but I think you know who's going to start the next game," Quenneville told reporters. "(Crawford) did everything we wanted him to do. He had a couple looks there when he first came in and got comfortable as the game went along. That was a big test right there. Great response."

Crawford did appear in over 120 minutes of game time during the series, posting a save percentage of .850. For now, though, he's intent on looking forward.

"I've gone through a lot in my career," he said. "Just being levelheaded helps, not to get too down. You just keep working hard and pretty much just wash away anything else that creeps into your mind."

Crawford and the Blackhawks await the winner of the series between the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild.
