Ryan Murray has emerged as the quintessential Columbus Blue Jacket

Young, talented but chopped down by injuries, the former second-overall selection is dealing with yet another lower-body ailment and will miss his third straight contest Tuesday versus the Anaheim Ducks.

The ailment is separate from the knee injury that forced him to miss 36 games at the start of the season, but may be related to the high-ankle sprain that cost him an additional 23, reports the Columbus Dispatch's Aaron Portzline.

Murray has appeared in just 10 games in his second professional season, contributing a heaping portion to the league-most 463 man-games the Blue Jackets have lost to injury.
