The Minnesota Wild bolstered their blue line on trade deadline day.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded Jordan Leopold to Minnesota in exchange for Justin Falk and a 2015 fifth-round pick, the Wild announced.

Leopold, 34, appeared in only 25 games for the Blue Jackets this season, with a goal and two assists to his credit. A veteran of 71 playoff games, he was a member of the 2004 Calgary Flames team that went to the Stanley Cup Final and is unrestricted free agent at season's end.

Falk appeared in 13 games for the Wild in 2014-15, failing to record a point.
