Buyers be aware: Chris Stewart appears to be nearing the bargain bin.

The asking price for the Buffalo Sabres power forward is reportedly dropping as the NHL's trade deadline approaches, and general manager Tim Murray may be willing to accept a third- or fourth-round draft pick, while also retaining salary, according to John Shannon of Sportsnet.

The Boston Bruins have long been tied to Stewart, but were previously unwilling to cough up a high-round pick or a top prospect. This discounted rate may lead to renewed interest, as well as other teams jumping into the mix.

Stewart's play has come on as of late, recording six goals and nine assists in 2015.
