The pending unrestricted free agent was thought to be available before the deadline after failing to come to an agreement on a new long-term deal.
The New York Rangers had reportedly discussed a four-year deal worth $4-and $4.25 million per season with the forward, with Zuccarello's camp looking for an AAV of closer to $5 million.
Zuccarello has 12 goals and 23 assists on the year.
