After starting his career stuck in the Chicago Blackhawks' system, Jeremy Morin has a chance to make an impact with the Columbus Blue Jackets - and he knows it.

Morin was traded to Columbus a week ago and recorded his first assist with the Blue Jackets on Thursday. He played 20 shifts in each of his first two Columbus games - more than he played in any of his 15 games with Chicago prior to the trade.

The Blue Jackets host the Blackhawks on Saturday, providing Morin with an early opportunity to show them what they're missing. He's prepared for the extra attention his former team is likely to give him and knows them well enough to deal with the antics of players like agitator Andrew Shaw.
